Ironman Season 2007
How about that! One of the BEST venues in the Ironman season! Free trailer/car parking, easy launch, nice beach, good weather, and that downswell run home! You cant beat the ride in Ventura!  Kudos to the Hokuloans.
We just rounded the half way mark, with 2 more Ironman races to go. This weekend we take an adventure up to our northernmost association member club, Pale Kai in Avila Beach. I expect to see a supportive turnout for this race. I understand campsites have opened up, so if you were discouraged, nows the time to pick up the phone and reserve a site. Outrigger Team California took the gold, with about 45 sec's to rest before Lanakila pulled thru the buoys. Another one-two, but in reverse this ...

2007 Hanohano Crystal Pier race
WOW! Couldnt have asked for better conditions for our 2007 opening race of the season. A lot of bars were set this day: Race host Hanohano did an excellent job of providing food, commemorative race t-shirts and sweatshirts, cool awards,a killer raffle, game center for the kids, and keeping us on time; SCORA officials and officials-in-training did a great job in setting up the equipment and race course, inspecting canoes for compliance to safety requirements, photoing any out-of-jersey infractions (we'll soon see how well we all did with that rule); and the paddlers! setting new heights for competition as well ...

Race Commitee 411
Hello Sports Fans! By now most of you have already pulled your paddles out of the corner, and put ski's and snowboards in their place to get ready for the 2007 SCORA racing season.

Hanohano promises another great kick-off event on May 12th in San Diego on Mission Bay. If you want a little warm-up event, head out to Tempe Town Lake on April 28th and join our Arizona clubs in their Regatta.
